Charmaine Goh

Charmaine Goh

Charmaine began ballet at three and later competed in synchronised swimming for eight years, developing discipline, musicality, and expressive movement.

At fifteen, Charmaine was introduced to Brazilian Zouk, a turning point that reshaped how she experienced dance. Drawn to its emphasis on connection and musicality, she began teaching Zouk in Singapore and Malaysia.

During university, Charmaine deepened her engagement with dance through salsa. As Chairperson of her university salsa community, she gained valuable experience in leadership and nurturing inclusive dance spaces. Alongside this, she actively pursues DanceSport, continuing to grow as both a dancer and performer.

Charmaine is also a certified teacher specialising in primary education, with training in child psychology. She believes in holistic education and is committed to meeting students where they are. Her aim is to help every student feel safe, seen, and capable. She believes that students of all ages learn best when they feel encouraged, not pressured.

Charmaine teaches Kids Pop to children from age five and up, as well as adults in DanceSport and social dance (salsa, bachata, and Brazilian Zouk). Beyond technique, she hopes to nurture confidence as a lifelong disposition, one that supports students both on and off the dance floor.
